Arsenal survive the late Aston Villa Premontada trap

Arsenal won 3-2 at home to Aston Villa in a match they played on Sunday evening at the Emirates Stadium in the sixth round of the Premier League this season 2019-2020

Arsenal have struggled in the Premier League, winning in the first two rounds, before losing two draws, but overcame Aston Villa.

The visitors opened the scoring through John McGinn and Dutchman Anwar Ghazi before Arsenal pulled one back for Nicolas Pepe, but Wesley put Vilans back in the lead.

The match was a point for Aston Villa but the Gunners turned the score 2-0 up by goals from Calum Chambers and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the 81st and 84th minutes, respectively.

Arsenal now have 11 points in third place in partnership with Leicester City and West Ham United, while Aston Villa have just two points.

Arsenal are preparing for the seventh round match against the injured Manchester United, who collected eight points in the first six rounds.
