The first round of the group stage of the Champions League ended on Wednesday, with mixed results, where we have followed in the last two days 16 games spread over eight groups, two games per group.
The opening round saw many players shine, and UEFA announced its nominations for the best player award in this round.

Norwegian pair Erling Halland of Austria's Red Bull Salzburg, who scored a hat-trick against Belgian Genk, and Dynamo Zagreb striker Meslav Orsic also scored a hat-trick against Atlanta.
